Lorie Donelle, Ph.D. is a Scientist with the Lawson Health Research Institute and an Associate Professor within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University and is jointly appointed to the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing and the School of Health Studies. Lorie has extensive knowledge in the area of health promotion, health literacy, and the use of information technology within healthcare. Her research explores the concept of health literacy and its influence on the health status of healthcare clients. Paralleling this is her interest in health informatics which explores the relationship between health information technology, (e.g. Internet, social media, EHRs, PHRs), and client / clinician health practices.
