Maria Callaghan is very pleased to be the National Coordinator of the Voices against Violence project. Prior to her role with this project, Maria was manager of the Centre for Research & Education on Violence against Women and Children at Western University.
Maria was also the National Coordinator for the research initiative Intersecting Sites of Violence in the Lives of Girls at the Centre for Research & Education on Violence against Women and Children. In this role, Maria worked with the Alliance of Canadian Research Centre’s on Violence, and with an amazing group of young women, to begin to understand the various forms of violence young women face in their lives. Maria is a past member and executive of the Middlesex County Coordinating Committee to End Woman Abuse. She has over 20 years of financial, management and organizational experience in the private and public sector.
