Tansi! My name is Kate Elliott and I am Métis. My family comes from Selkirk Manitoba but I grew up on Coast & Straight Salish land on Vancouver Island. I am passionate about Aboriginal health and I have an educational background in nursing and Master of Public Health. I have been involved in Aboriginal youth programming on the community and provincial level. My research interested are Aboriginal access to healthcare services and structural violence. I am currently attending the University of Saskatchewan to pursue a degree in Medicine in the hopes of rural family physician.
